This year at MICDS we are celebrating 25 years since we became one School.
As part of that celebration, we are excited to launch our 25-hour giving challenge called #Givefor25. This day (plus one hour) is an opportunity for everyone in the community to show their MICDS pride by making a gift, spreading Ram spirit throughout the world and inspiring others to do the same.
Give. Inspire. Celebrate!
Our goal for the day is 250 donations from parents, alumni, grandparents and friends. You may choose to make a gift to support your child's class year or your own class year, such as $20.08 for the Class of 2008 (celebrating their 10th reunion!)
BONUS #1: An anonymous and generous donor has offered to match all gifts made on this day, up to $25,000.
BONUS #2: We have several funding areas from which you can choose:
- Academic Engagement - Our innovative and highly engaging academic and co-curricular program encourages each student to develop his or her full potential. Your gift will fuel our classroom budgets, field trips and other engaging academic experiences.
- Faculty Excellence - Excellence in academics at MICDS begins with our world-class faculty but compensation comes with a cost. Your gift will ensure that our teachers enjoy small class sizes, superb resources, outstanding facilities, and a deep commitment to best-practice pedagogy.
- Student Access - We believe all qualified students, regardless of financial circumstances, should have access to our extraordinary education. Your gift will support our need-based financial aid program and allow students on financial aid to enjoy the "extras" such as athletic, arts and community service field trips.
- Athletics - Our School has a long and proud tradition in athletics and recognizes the importance athletics play in nurturing teamwork, self-discipline, perseverance and school spirit. Your gift will fuel our JK-12 PE program and our 48 interscholastic teams.
- Fine & Performing Arts - The arts are an integral component of the JK-12 curriculum. Your gift will support all students who study vocal and instrumental music, theater, dance and the visual arts on a daily basis.
- Where it's Needed Most - Let us decide where to make your gift count!

After totaling all gifts made on this special day, YOU helped us hit our goal of 250 gifts and even went one over! YOU helped raise a whopping $110,591 for all areas of the School from athletics to student access and everything in between. This support will provide our students with that extra measure of excellence that is the hallmark of an MICDS education.
Our Senior Class led the way with the most number of gifts; we met and exceeded the $25,000 matching funds; our reunion classes came out in full force; and we received gifts from coast to coast and from parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty, staff and students.
